In the spirit of horizon broadening, I am also about to read Thoughtless Acts from those terribly clever people at IDEO. Recommended by one of them following a lovely talk at the agency last week. Talks about the need to see real consumers in their real lives to understand how people really do stuff and use the things they buy. Includes a full methodology, which is extremely generous in my mind. But might also be like that lovely Pret a Manger trick to show you the recipe for their sandwiches and in so doing demonstrate just how much easier it is to get them to make one for you... More on this as I find a 25th hour in the day to do some reading. The police tell me I can't do it on the bike, so will have to try reading in my sleep. Worked at university after all.
